Pre-school Enviroment

This is a fun and active stage in your children's lives. We provide them with a secure and loving enviroment where they are introduced to their Heavenly Father. All activities are age-appropriate with plenty of flexibility for the normal needs of pre-schoolers. Each group is well-staffed with adult volunteers and parents are welcome anytime. At Maury Hills we seek to partner with parents in teaching your children Biblical values. Before they leave this ministry we want them to know three things:

1. God loves me.
2. God made me.
3. Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

We use First Look for our preschool curriculum.

What to Expect: Each week your children will learn a Bible story that will help them understand the key truth for the morning. They will also participate in many age appropriate, creative activities. We believe in an active, hands-on approach with our kids so be on the look out for those fun projects. If you would like to know what your children are learning, pick up a copy of the Small Talk cards located outside the door of the classroom. You are the best teacher for your child, so use these activities to talk about God with them all week at home.

Check-In: For security reasons all children must be registered before you drop them off with their groups. Registration is located at the "Ticket Booth" in the main hallway. You and your child will recieve matching nametags which are used to pick them up after worship. Once registered, you can take them to their rooms where one of our volunteers will greet you. At registration we also request that you notify us of any food allergies or illnesses. If your child is sick (fever, rashes, stomach problems, etc.) we ask that you not bring them into our pre-school enviroment.

First time? We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes early to give you enough time to register and get your child settled in their enviroment.

Special Events

Beach Club Our monthly family experience! Through music, drama and storytelling we introduce the "virtue of the month." This is something for parents and kids so we encourage families to attend together. It's offered during the second service the first Sunday of the month.
Wednesday Nights Our mid-week events for children run concurrent with the Maury County school year. When school is in session we offer a variety of large group/small group activties. Then in the summer it's all about family time with concerts, scavenger hunts, movie nights, etc.
Easter Egg Hunt We have a huge egg hunt at noon every Easter! It's out in the back field and the kids hunt eggs then have the rest of the day free to spend with thier family.
Not-So-Scary Halloween Party This is Maury Hill's version of "Trunk or Treat." It's a huge outdoor event with costumes, games, inflatables, live music and candy of course.
Christmas Musical Our children perform a musical on the Sunday before Christmas. This is a great opportunity to teach them the Christmas story and disply thier many talents!
