STUDENT MINISTRY
The Orca holding his trident, the proud and free mascot of the student ministry at Maury Hills stands for . . . well, nothing. However, the Maury Hills Student Ministry is all about building community within the larger body of the church & making disciples of Christ! We’re trying to help students learn what it means to love God & love people and then put that love into action. We’re made up of both Jr. High (5th-8th) and Sr. High (9th-12th) students. We highly encourage parental involvement.
One major point of emphasis of the program is to give our teens experiences they will never
forget, so you never know what to expect when a teen attends a class or event at Maury Hills.
Authentic Faith
Students will understand what they believe and why they believe it.
Spiritual Discipline
Students will learn and put into practice disciplines that will aid them the rest of their lives.
Moral Boundaries
Students will learn how to set boundaries in the area of
moral purity.
Healthy Friendships
Students will learn to wisely choose friends who will help them in their walk of faith.
Wise Choices
Students will learn to use godly wisdom rather than emotions in their decision making.
Ultimate Authority
Students will learn that all authority is established by
God and their view of earthly
authority reflects their acceptance of God's
authority.
Others First
Students will learn to place others' needs above their own.
CLASSES
Come on down to the Hangout and see what the Orca's do.
Sunday and Wednesday evenings are our BIG nights to get together for Bible study and lots of fun. Our student pastor, Todd Loyd, would love to meet you and show you around. Our students come from pretty much every school in the county so you are likely to know someone if not several Orcas. We can't wait to meet you and your family.

While they are also part of the larger Orca student ministry, they also have a program tailored just for them. The Cove meets in (room 111) in the student wing. Jamey and Annette Dixon lead this group. Bring your 5th and 6th grader on Sunday and camp out in the Cove.
